PRIVACY
Effective 2026-11-05. This policy covers the UpSkillr website and the products UpSkillr runs: U-Crew and Practice Lab. Each product has its own section below, because each handles different data. Three promises hold across all of them:
-
We run no advertising. Nothing you do with us feeds an ad network.
-
We sell no data. Not to brokers, not to partners, not to anyone.
-
We train no models on your content. Your memories, your emails, your work stay yours.
UpSkillr is a small company. If anything here is unclear, write to info@whyupskillr.com and a person answers. Please see our complete terms of service here.
The website
whyupskillr.com is hosted on Wix. Wix may set cookies for site functionality and visitor statistics, described in Wix's own privacy policy. If you fill in a contact form, we keep what you typed so we can reply. We don't run third-party advertising trackers on the site.
U-Crew
U-Crew is a connector for Claude that gives you a crew of personas with memory. Its job is to keep your crew's memory, so the data it stores is exactly the data that job needs.
The short version
-
Your personas' memories belong to you. You can export everything on request, as documented JSON you can read without our product.
-
We never see your conversations. Our service receives only the specific tool calls Claude makes to it: a memory to save, a search to run, a card to record. The conversation around them never reaches us.
-
Your cabinet is isolated. Your memories live in their own partition. No other customer's crew can read them, and inside your cabinet each persona sees only its own memory.
-
Delete means delete. One confirmed request erases your cabinet, immediately and irreversibly.
What we store
-
Memories: the content your personas save, with its labels: which persona, when, and an optional topic tag.
-
Personas: the roles you define: names, rules, status.
-
Boards and cards: the status entries personas write for each other, and the work items on your Items tab.
-
Session records: tickets binding a conversation to a persona: identifiers, the conversation's topic word and tag, and timestamps.
-
Account link: an opaque sign-in identifier from WorkOS, our sign-in provider, and your cabinet's settings. Your email address is held by WorkOS; the product itself doesn't store it.
-
Subscription status: whether your plan is active. Payment and card details are held by Stripe, never by us. Beta testers have no billing record at all.
All of it lives on servers we run on Railway, in the United States.
What we never see
-
Your conversations with Claude. Claude calls our tools with specific, visible inputs; everything else you and Claude say to each other stays on Anthropic's side, under your agreement with Anthropic. We cannot read your chats, and no feature of ours depends on reading them.
-
Your other connectors' data. Your personas may use your email, files or calendar through Claude. None of that passes through us unless a persona explicitly saves something as a memory.
-
Your passwords or card numbers. Sign-in is handled by WorkOS, payment by Stripe. We never hold either.
Isolation
Every cabinet's memories live in a separate partition, selected by our server from your verified sign-in, never from anything said in a conversation. Our servers additionally check that every row they return and every row they delete belongs to your partition. Within your cabinet, each persona's memories are scoped to that persona on every call, enforced on the server. Boards and cards are shared across your personas on purpose; that is their coordination job. Memories never are.
The services we rely on
-
Railway (hosting, US): our servers and databases.
-
WorkOS (sign-in): your login and identity token.
-
Stripe (billing): payment, card details, invoices.
-
OpenAI (embeddings): short mathematical fingerprints of memory text, used only to make your own memories searchable.
-
Anthropic (Claude itself): your conversations, under your Claude agreement; upstream of us, not a processor for us.
About the OpenAI row, in plain English, because it is the one worth understanding. For your memories to be searchable, each memory's text is converted into a list of numbers that captures its meaning. OpenAI's service does that conversion. When a memory is saved, and when a search runs, its text is sent to OpenAI and the numbers come back; the numbers are stored with us, and all searching happens on our servers. OpenAI receives no information about you: no name, no email, no account identity. The request comes from our servers under our account. What it does receive is whatever you wrote in the memory itself, so a memory naming a client names that client in the text that transits OpenAI. Under OpenAI's API terms, that text is not used to train their models and is retained only briefly for abuse monitoring. The practical guidance is simple: a memory is as private as what you choose to put in it, the same as any text you give an AI service.
If we ever add a feature that summarizes or distills your memories on our servers, it will be opt-in, and this policy will name its processor before the feature is available.
Export and delete
Ask the Guide in your crew chat to export, and you get a complete archive: all memories with their labels, all persona definitions, all board history and cards. The format is documented JSON.
A confirmed delete request erases your memories, personas, boards, cards, session records and account link, immediately and irreversibly. Signing in again afterward starts a new, empty cabinet. Two honest edges: deleting your cabinet does not touch your chat transcripts on
Anthropic's side, which may still contain whatever your personas quoted into conversations; and the delete is carried out by your assistant on your instruction, so say it only when you mean it. If you would rather we do it, write to us and it is done within a day.
Retention
-
While your subscription is active: everything is kept until you change or delete it. Session records never expire; an old conversation still knows who it is.
-
After a subscription lapses: your cabinet suspends. Nothing is readable, nothing is deleted, and your data is held for 90 days so you can resubscribe or export. After 90 days we attempt to notify you at your sign-in address, which WorkOS holds for us, before anything is erased.
-
Service logs: carry identifiers and timings for debugging and rotate on a short schedule.
Security
Transport is HTTPS everywhere. Every credential is checked on the server on every call, with strict audience checks on sign-in tokens. When the service cannot verify something, it refuses; it never silently returns someone else's data, and a save that didn't persist is reported as a failure, never a success. Databases are reachable only on a private network and are backed up on a schedule.
One honest note about personas and rules
A persona's rules shape your assistant's behaviour. Claude follows them well, but they are instructions, not a technical cage. The things that must never fail, which memories a call can read, which cabinet a token can touch, who can delete what, are enforced by our servers regardless of anything said in any conversation. Content recalled from memory is treated as data: a memory that contains instruction-like text is still just a memory..
Practice Lab
Practice Lab is in limited release. It is not yet open for general sign-up; this section describes how it handles data so the policy is in place before it is.
Practice Lab is a flight simulator for Salesforce professionals. You work a simulated client engagement over email, build the fix in a practice org you create, and get graded on it. Here is what that involves.
What we store
-
Your account: the email address and name you sign up with.
-
The emails of your engagement: what you write to the simulated stakeholder and what the stakeholder and the coach write back. That transcript is the product; it is kept for as long as your account is.
-
Your practice org connection: when you connect a Salesforce Developer Edition org, we keep its identifier, its address and an encrypted token that lets the lab read that org's configuration. We read configuration metadata from the practice org to grade your build. We never ask for, and never want, a connection to a production org or anyone's customer records.
-
Grades and coach notes: the evaluation of each build and the commentary you receive.
-
Persona memory: the stakeholder and the coach keep short notes of your prior exchanges so they stay consistent from one email to the next. Those notes are yours and are deleted with your account.
All of it lives on servers we run on Railway, in the United States.
The services we rely on
-
Railway (hosting, US): our servers and databases.
-
SendGrid (email): delivering the engagement's emails in both directions.
-
Anthropic (writing and grading): your emails and your build's configuration are sent to Claude to generate the stakeholder's replies, the coach's commentary and your grade; not used to train models under Anthropic's API terms.
-
OpenAI (embeddings): mathematical fingerprints of the persona notes, so they can be searched; no account identity travels with them.
-
Salesforce (your practice org): the Developer Edition org you create is yours, under Salesforce's terms.
-
Stripe (billing): if Practice Lab charges you, Stripe handles payment and card details.
Delete
Write to info@whyupskillr.com and your account, your transcript, your grades, your persona notes and your org connection are deleted within a day. Disconnecting your practice org is yours to do at any time from the org itself.
Your rights, wherever you live
You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We honour these requests for everyone, not only where a law requires it. Write to info@whyupskillr.com. We answer within a few days and complete deletions within a day of confirming the request.
Age
Our products are for adults. You must be 18 or older to use them.
Changes
We post changes to this policy here, with the date at the top. Material changes are announced before they take effect.
