Terms of service

These terms cover the UpSkillr website and the products UpSkillr runs: U-Crew and Practice Lab. By using any of them you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy, which says what we store and why. Each product has its own section below. The rules that hold across all of them come first.

UpSkillr is a small company. If anything here is unclear, write to info@whyupskillr.com and a person answers.

Who can use our products

You must be 18 or older. You must give us accurate information when you sign up and keep your sign-in to yourself; what happens under your account is your responsibility until you tell us it has been compromised. Our products are for work. You may not use them to break the law, to harm or harass anyone, or to get around their limits, pull their data in bulk, probe their security, or resell them.

Your content is yours

Whatever you put into our products stays yours: the personas you write, the memories they keep, the emails you send in an engagement, the designs you build. We claim no ownership of it and no right to use it beyond running the product for you. You give us only the permission we need to store it, index it so you can search it, and hand it back to you. The privacy policy sets out the three promises that go with that: no advertising, no data sales, no training on your content.

What you put in is also your responsibility. Don't give us content you have no right to share, and don't use our products to produce content that breaks the law or anyone's rights.

What AI output is

Our products use AI models, mainly Claude from Anthropic. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or confidently mistaken. It is a draft for you to judge, not advice you can rely on without reading it. You decide what to act on. Nothing in our products runs on its own: a persona works when you open its chat, a grade is produced when you say a build is done, and neither takes an action in the world without you.

Beta

Both products are young. Where a product or feature is marked beta, expect rough edges, expect it to change, and tell us what you find. We may add, change or remove features. If we ever retire a product, we tell you at least 30 days ahead and your data stays exportable until then.

Availability and liability

We work to keep our products running and we back up their data on a schedule, but we don't promise they will always be available or error-free, and we provide them as they are. To the fullest extent the law allows, UpSkillr is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for lost profits or lost data, or for decisions you make on the strength of AI output. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for anything arising from a product is capped at the amount you paid us for that product in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability the law doesn't let us limit.

Ending things

You can stop using a product at any time and delete your account as the product's section below describes. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms; where the breach can be put right we tell you first, and in every case we give you the chance to export your data unless the law stops us. Your paid plan runs to the end of the period you paid for.

U-Crew

U-Crew is a connector for Claude that gives you a crew of personas with memory. It runs inside your Claude account; your use of Claude is governed by your agreement with Anthropic, which we are not party to, and Anthropic's usage policies apply to everything you do in Claude, including through U-Crew. If Anthropic changes what connectors can do, U-Crew may have to change with it.

Plans and payment

• Plans: three, priced by how many personas can be active at once. 2 active personas for $5 a month; 4 for $10; up to 10 for $15. Everything is included on every plan; there are no meters. Archived personas don't count against the cap.

• First month: $1, on any plan. Then the monthly price.

• Billing: monthly, in advance, through Stripe. Stripe holds your card details; we never see them. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax the law requires us to add. We can change prices with at least 30 days' notice; a change applies from your next billing period after the notice.

• Cancelling: any time, from the billing page we link you to. Your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for and then stops. We don't refund part-months. If we have charged you in error, write to us and we put it right.

• Beta testers use U-Crew without charge for as long as the beta lasts, and have no billing record.

When a subscription lapses

If a payment fails or a plan ends, your cabinet suspends: your personas stop answering and nothing is readable, but nothing is deleted. Your data is held for 90 days so you can resubscribe or export it; the privacy policy describes what happens after that. Resubscribe and everything wakes up as it was.

Personas

Personas are roles for work: a reviewer, a planner, a grant writer, an ops lead. You may not create companion, romantic or therapeutic personas, or personas impersonating a real person. Companion-chatbot laws exist because of real harm, and U-Crew is deliberately not that kind of product. A persona's rules shape how Claude behaves, but Claude's own safety and honesty policies always come first; nothing you write in a persona changes that. Personas are roles with their own rules and memory, run by the same assistant you're talking to; they are not independent minds, and we never present them as such.

Your data

The privacy policy says what U-Crew stores. In short: your memories, personas, boards and cards live in your own partition; we never see your conversations; you can export everything as documented JSON by asking the Guide in your crew chat; and a confirmed delete request erases your cabinet immediately and irreversibly.

Practice Lab

Practice Lab is in limited release. It is not yet open for general sign-up; this section applies to anyone we admit while that is so, and to everyone once it opens.

Practice Lab is a flight simulator for Salesforce professionals. You work a simulated client engagement over email, build the fix in a practice org you create, and get graded on it.

• Your practice org. You connect a Salesforce Developer Edition org that you create and that belongs to you under Salesforce's terms. Practice Lab reads that org's configuration to grade your build. Never connect a production org, a client's org, or any org holding real customer records; if you do, you are responsible for it, and we may disconnect it and close your account.

• The engagement is simulated. The stakeholder and the coach are AI personas. Their emails, their reactions and their grades are practice and coaching. A grade is not a certification, a credential or a promise about exams, jobs or clients.

• Your work is yours. The emails you write, the designs you describe and the configuration you build are yours. We use them only to run the engagement, grade it and keep the personas consistent.

• Price. If Practice Lab charges for an engagement, the price is shown before you pay and Stripe handles payment; the U-Crew billing rules on cancelling and refunds apply in the same way.

• Ending. Write to info@whyupskillr.com and your account, your transcript, your grades, your persona notes and your org connection are deleted within a day. Disconnecting your practice org is yours to do at any time from the org itself.

The website

whyupskillr.com is for information about UpSkillr and its products. Its content is ours or used with permission; you may read and share it, not republish it as your own. Booking, forms and chat on the site are handled by Wix under Wix's own terms.

Changes to these terms

We post changes here, with the date at the top. Material changes are announced before they take effect, and if you keep using a product after that date you accept them. If you don't, cancel before the date and we honour the old terms until your period ends.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of NY, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute

goes to the courts there. If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about the products.
